Finished off working nights yesterday morning at 6am, came home and took a 3 hour nap, went to bed around 10 last night, and now I'm wide awake!!!

Ahahaha.......... I know what you mean.......::

I'm on nights right now, sitting in a control room trying to pass time till 7. I'll go home, sleep from about 8:30-2. Watch football and do it over till tuesday morning. Luckily when I work off I havent had trouble sleeping the nights I'm off.

Glad to have finally gotten off from working overnights. It had my whole life turned upside-down.

I work nights constantly, I guess I live upside down 🙃

I did 12hr swing every 2wks for only 6yrs.

I hated it. I was skinny as a whip and felt like crap everday. It was not for me. Im the kind that cries if i dont get hrs of sleep.

I couldn't do it. There's just no way. Maybe night shifts, but no way could I do rotating shifts.

16 years and counting. I love it!

I do 5 off 5 on 2 off 2 on. 12hr nights. Love it

I do 4 on 4 off 12 hour days.I do a month of Nights and then a month of days, rotating back and forth. It's awesome to me. Work half the year for a full year of pay. Have a ton of time for family and fun. I almost think I prefer nights- It's way more laid back, I can get stuff done during the day before or after work and I see my wife and Kids during the day.

I spent the last 12 years working 5+ days a week anywhere from 40-60+ hours a week and being on call about 25% of the year... I much prefer my new jobs schedule.

Used to hate rotating into midnight shift. 10pm-6am then try to sleep unless I had court. Then it was try not to fall asleep in court. You get used to it if its your permanent shift but not rotating in twice a year.

Same here can and have done straight nights, but I could not do rotating every week or two. I would have to find another job.
