Thanks for all the posts preseason and during the season. Great read and positive message about the chase and the hard work and a sweet reward. Congratulations! Well done!

My buddy Russ and I have 2 days for him to hunt so, I'll roll along and glass and be his caller if required. I first met Russ in 1990 at the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center. We both left there and was stationed together in Traverse City Mi, Kodiak, Ak, and here in Astoria. We have hunted Kodiak brown bears, black bears, black tail deer, mt. goat, white tail deer, and elk. He's never killed an elk with his bow. Close a lot but, never worked out. Be too cool if we can get him one because he's moving down there with you guys. He's a Montana boy but, his parents are near Rucker I believe.
After that, I have 5 days with my son. Sure hope he gets one too. Be lucky to go 50%. Hunter has drawn back but, hasn't released one yet.

Very odd way of keeping a thread alive. Nice “harvest” though. Congrats

I've seen lots of rag horns still bunched up. But we also had big bulls herding up cows before the season started so kind of weird. I'll know more after this weekend cuz I don't like 6 days straight.
I have seen large Bulls run smaller Bulls away. But last night in one of our fields we had a three-point come out with like fifteen cows, so either the larger bull stay in the timber or was around in the next field where there was like 60 cows another was one mature Bull in like four others. I think three point got lucky and caught some peace and quiet

Gonna be a skull mount. Houseboat built for 7ft mounts, plus I have 1/2 a brown bear. Mounted.

My buddy Russ was out after day one, he on injured reserve lol. My son had 6 days, heavy rains, winded by 2 raghorns. Last night had one worked up, was going to go in there again today and he's sick. Picked him up at 0515, dropped him off at 0525. We have Sunday and done. More rains for Sunday so, we will see.

Russ Done. My sons been close but no cigar. Heavy rains have messed us up.
On a side note, I scored my bull and came up with 240 7/8 after the stickers deduction. P&Y minimum is 225 so, that's kinda cool I guess.

Im already planning next years trail cams lol. If the big 6x6 shows next year I'll be puttin out cams in about a 3 mile circle to try and figure him out. If he winters in same spot as last year, good chance gun hunters get him.
