Seems to be a whole lot more rattlesnakes being killed this year. We got a couple bush hogging.

Mating season is in the fall. I think that's their most active time. I have luckily not seen any this year. Just a copperhead and a few water snakes but i havent gotten out much.

I've always heard they are out getting a few more meals to store up for the hibernation.

I killed one coming out from the club Sunday evening after pig hunting. Also saw a copperhead about 30 yards past the rattler but it got away before I could give it the same treatment.

I killed a Rattler on a Dove Shoot about three years ago that had a HUGE Bulge in its middle....thought he might have eaten some Doves that had fallen in the woods and not found. Cut it open and it had a fresh Full Grown Squirrel just like this pic....in its Belly!!! I didn't know they could swallow something that BIG....

I got a cottonmouth last fall while disking. He thought he was a real bad ass. Disk showed him he wasnt.
