Our lease was timbered last winter and 1/3 of the property is currently being burned. Are you really subject to this BS by leasing property or is there a way out of it?

When you lease from Paper/Timber Companies you are their Bitch!
They will do whatever the hell they want, whenever they want. And this usually starts the opening day of the Season.

I kill more deer in and on the edge of those clearcuts than anywhere i love it when they come in and do that no one wants to hunt it but the deer are still there its like having the whole place to myself. when the undergrowth starts coming back its like a salad bar just learn how to hunt it.

It’s their land not yoursyoursyours. Be an Aldeer fiscal responsible person and buy your own damn landlandland. And stop renting something you will never own just to kill a deer that doesn’t taste anything close to as good as beef.

They're burning it for you? Shoot go pay the man extra This is what I was thinking..... I've seen timber leases in Pickens county where they left the limbs and tops just out there to rot. It was a nightmare turkey hunting in that, not to mention the snake empire that was created. If they're burning it off that ought to make for some good hunting this gun season. I was in a club that Soterra owned years ago and I saw the most deer I've ever seen at one time in the corner of a cut over that was burned like that. It was when the rut was really going and there were deer everywhere.... chasing, piddling around, even caught two doing the deed..... first and only time I have ever seen that. Was quite the day that I'll never forget.
