I’ve only killed one rattler so far this year, but usually it’s october when I see the most Mating season is in the fall. I think that's their most active time. I have luckily not seen any this year. Just a copperhead and a few water snakes but i havent gotten out much.

I killed one coming out from the club Sunday evening after pig hunting. Also saw a copperhead about 30 yards past the rattler but it got away before I could give it the same treatment.

Seems to be a whole lot more rattlesnakes being killed this year. We got a couple bush hogging. I got a cottonmouth last fall while disking. He thought he was a real bad ass. Disk showed him he wasnt.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.
