Are Clorox stumps considered bait?

No. That's just like having them in a little pen.

I will buy a permit and have bait stations out. Probably won’t hunt looking at them but travel routes to them. And I won’t shoot a doe anywhere near my stations

I probably won’t buy one because I truly feel they will shut it down due to cwd.

I'll buy one...I hunted mostly with friends last year and public land since a lease just wasn't in the budget, and that will be the case this year. I know for a fact one of my friend's clubs plans on putting out feeders, so I'll have it just to be "legal".

I have no plans to specifically hunt over bait other then being with friends. I'll mostly stick to Wheeler and Cahaba.

What’s the fine for hunting over bait without a permit? Is the fine worse than what it was when there was no legal method?

As soon as GA legalized baiting we started. We saw more deer that year than any year in the past. I assumed it was because we were the only ones in the area not already baiting.

Iook guys I am not trying to start a war but any one, including me, that sits in a shooting house on a green field or puts out something to attract deer is not hunting also he that sits in a tree stand to harvest deer is not hunting. Now if you slip from one point to another and stalk a deer that’s hunting you have put yourself on the same level you are using your skill against him with the exception you have a gun or bow. Like I said now I am not trying to start a war this is my opinion I wish I was still able to hunt and have to ambush a deer 😤

We will have feeders on 5 of our fields. We ran 3 legal ones last year. We will continue to hunt like we always have (just two of us on 500 acres +. In the past 5 years we have killed a total of 1 doe. This won’t change.

Our club voted to be able to feed. Just has to be a certain distance off anything the club planted. I will feed little spots to run a camera on. And if a buck starts to show up in daylight hours at that spot, I will as well. And drop him in the pile of corn or sweet taters. No shame here. Haha

I hunt in TN primarily, so the decision is made for me.

We have hogs so absolutely NO FEEDERS in food plots or close to food plots.

Feeders won't, don't and will never take the place of planting food plots for our deer herd. Like every year, my club plants food plots with the benefit of feeding our deer and turkeys even when we're not there after Feb 10th and yes, we hunt our food plots to kill deer.

Corn will never take the place of planting sufficient acreage of quality food plots. I have no problem hunting over corn but only if the hunter doesn't kill a humpteen number of immature bucks as they'll certainly show up to feed on corn.
