Texas style is THE best way. Deer had rather pic it up off of the ground and be able to spread out away from each other. 100lbs spread on each large field/tree line/road bed once a week will be deadly.

I hunted in Central Georgia the last two years in a club that spent no telling how much on corn. Everyone in the club baited every field and easy to access place on the property. I mostly hunted swamps and creek bottoms from a climber and killed 2 of the 4 shooters killed last year and I wasn't anywhere close to where they fed corn. I'm not opposed to people hunting however they want if it's legal but have never felt like I had to feed to kill a deer. If I ever thought I had to spend 100s or 1000s on supplemental feeding to be able to see deer I would quit hunting. I'm not opposed to the feeding. I'm opposed to the time and money it appears to take to do it.

So who is going to hunt over bait this year and how will you guys do it? We have ran gravity feeders and been in accordance with the old law.....however I think we will go to spin feeders now and place them in the plots....they were always not far off the food plots but were checked by our game warden and we were given the all clear...curious to see what others think Same thing here. Gonna move our gravity feeders to the fields, and convert them to spinners during season. Not much different than before, except our green fields will have some corn to go with the wheat, oats, and rye. Where I hunt the only time of year that corn will change things is the last 3-4 weeks. The rut will be over and most of the browse will be gone and they will come to corn during the daytime, if it is in a place not pressured to much.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

My lease is now sponsored by Moultrie.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

horse sweet feed is NOT good for deer. Trust me on this.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
