Well John finally recognized Rip and they got Tate back safely!

They couldn’t afford to kill off Rip. I think they were at first but knew better. I think you're exactly right. Rip read the script and walked into Costner's office and said "you're gonna kill my character off? Chit, I'm the only real cowboy left on this place".

I felt like he left "everything" to RIP and called him son, so he would go on the suicide mission on that horse to get Tate back, he figured he would get killed now that hes alive he will just get the house. IMO
But then again makes me think he left it all to RIP.
Beth don't want the place, Kayce wants his family, Jamie wants to be a politician
No one but RIP really wants it...
I am a little nervous about next Season, where does the storyline go from here that it already hasn't..
I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.
