What a crappy magazine. One advertisement after another.

Most every magazine is now.

It is easier to fool a man than to convince him he has been fooled.

Trust me it's not just American Rifleman. All the gun rags are trash now. I don't subscribe to any but the barber shop I take my son to for a hair cut has a pretty good supply of them in the waiting area. All of them appear to be about 75% advertisements. Even the so called articles are often just a thinly veiled advertisement for whatever they are supposedly reviewing. If there is a gun mag left out there with the balls to be critical of any product they are covering I'd be shocked to hear it.

The best index to a person’s character is (a) how he treats people who can’t do him any good, and (b) how he treats people who can’t fight back.

I get it every month only because I’m a life member of the NRA. But, I couldn’t tell you the last time I opened one.

Only gun magazine I've found with any worthwhile articles is the annual Hodgdon Reloading Manual. That being said I did always like the "this old gun" column they did in AR. Someone would submit and old, odd, or historic firearm and they would discuss it.

Y'all check out Firearms News. You just don't get a lot of articles on the latest tupperware bolt action rifle... but the magazine is what a magazine should be. Not full of articles that essentially fluff the garbage they are trying to sell you in the print ad on the next page.
