When it’s 110 in the shade. I worked on building a rack to mount some transformers today. I was under a shed and had a fan blowing the welding smoke away from me. It felt like a convection oven.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

It was hotter than a Stihl weedeater in an east TN pawn shop this afternoon.
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

R_H_ Clark I had about the same thing happen to me years ago and the doctors said that when it's that hot outside just water doesn't cut it, you have to go 2 waters then a sports drink for electrolytes and minerals. It took me about 2 weeks to get to feeling normal. They called it severe dehydration even though I had like you drank I know 2 gallons of water that day.

I think I about died last Wed when it was over 100. I got home after working 12 hours in it, and took a shower and when I got out I couldn't stop shaking for a while even though I didn't even have the air on yet inside. I bundled up in bed and slept the night. I've been weak for a week since.
Ya'll just be careful out there. I drank nearly 2 gallons of water that day and it wasn't enough. Yeah you got too hot for sure. Sometimes it isn't just water replacement intake, it is the loss of salt and other electrolytes that will make you feel so weak and drained. Well, plus extreme heat too! Electrolyte replacement throughout the day will help tremendously. There is Gatorade which is ok. Pedialyte is also very good. But whole foods like a Big cold glass of milk along with an orange and/or a banana is great (calcium, potassium) along with some table salty food and then drink and Emergent-C powder or two. They make some good electrolyte powder you can add to the water to drink during the day. If you are sweating out your 6 standard electrolytes, then you drink lots of water----it can make it worse (not hydration, but the imbalance). You'll now be hydrated and diluting your blood even more and not have the right balance. IT can actually be harmful....not as much as severe dehydration obviously. Keeping electrolyte levels in balance during the day is the key to handling the heat and not feeling horrible. But if you get too hot, then you will feel like crap no matter what.

No no no, clearly you are mistaken. This has been a "mild summer" according to some.
