Watching midway on starz. I prefer it over tora tora tora. Both are great but midway just has more appeal to me. What say ye?

Midway. Had some great actors in that one.

When I was a kid I loved Tora, Tora, Tora for the action, now though I'll have to go with Midway because it has more naval strategy in it. My dad was stationed on Destroyers when I was growing up. It wasn't until that movie that I understood their purpose was to escort the Carriers. Going on a cruise was a bad term in our household because it meant not having a father for 6 mos. to a year. I can truly say that my father was a Vietnam combat vet although truthfully all he did was stay on a ship that shot off BIG guns towards the Vietcong.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

My grandfather served in midway and his destroyer got hit by a zipper head kamakzee plane. He and only 25 other sailors survived. I feel like midway shows more war like scenes. Tora tells more overall how we got there and where the ball got dropped story but midway shows the true grit we fought. That Grumman hellcat fought the Mitsubishi tooth and nail. And we won

Thank you for sharing your dad for our country.
