Which brands and models do you guys like? How long did they last? Were they warm? Looking to get a new pair under $200 for this coming season. I'd post in wing forum but it doesn't get much traffic.

I’ve only had 2 pair Cabelas neoprene and a pair of frog togg breathable with the zip out liner. I love the frog togg. I am fat and out of shape and sweat like crazy. The breathables are way easier to move in and I like being able to zip the liner out for early season

For what is out there on the market right now, I would have to buy a pair of Roger's breathable w/zip out liner. I have a pair or Rogers 5mm that I bought off Gomer (I think) two years ago and love them. The new Drake waders are high as a cat's back but look good. Get on the email list to Wing Supply and they have daily deals that come out. All they are is a clearing house now for overstocks. They used to be a good company to deal with.

My understanding is that Rogers breathable are made for them by frog togg.

I have a set of the Academy Sports Magellan Treadlite 400 breathable that have served me well for 2 years now. I'm not an every weekend duck hunter but I usually walk in about a mile to the hole we hunt, (public land). No leaks so far.
David I have the same ones. Been wearing them for 2 seasons and expect to wear them again. Buy them a full size larger than you wear and it'll give you room to layer up if it's going to be real cold.

as stated, depends on the type of hunting you do. I've gotten to be a fat-boy, too, so breathable ones for me for ease of movement and no insulation. it is hard to find a dual-season breathable, unless it is like the zip in-out liner... therefore, I have an insulated pair of late season breathables with 1600gram insulated boots and a teal/early season uninsulated pair (cheap) with 200gram boots. whatever you get, make sure you get a good insulated boot...standing in cold water with low insulation boots just makes for a miserable morning.
