Congratulations, RH! That's an awesome lifestyle channge and super results.

What kind of bike do you have and where did you find it? Mine is 23 years old and I'm due for an upgrade. My local bike shop keeps it running but it's so old I can't easily upgrade it.

I wound up with a 2017 model Trek Marlin 5. I got my boy a trek 3700. His is 13" frame and mine is 19.5 inch frame. 26" wheels on his and mine is a 29er. I wound up buying used and I have $300 in both them.

I forgot to mention it but I started this at 50 years old and I'm 51 now.The Marlin is capable enough for me so far. It's so fun to ride this bike across hills I wouldn't even have walked across last year. I can leave my house and if I want to hit the highway for 2 miles ,I can be on 20 miles of dirt road and skid trails. I always drive and then ride my bike though cause I am very cautious about the road.

My daughter was going to help me with some pictures but she had to go somewhere this evening.I'll try to post some soon.

Ok RH Clark, reading this thread has left me inspired to make some changes myself.
I told my wife that I want to start eating better and she was all aboard with the idea. As a matter of fact she was way ahead of me. She has been googling stuff about the Keto diet for a little while now. She made a trip to the Grocery store while I worked on a few projects around here.

Supper tonight consisted of grilled Flounder and grilled asparagus with a bottle of water. For breakfast tomorrow I have German style Bologna and eggs. For lunch it's deer tenderloin and Brussels sprouts. I have a small bag of almonds and another small bag of jerky if I feel the need for a snack. So with that I'm off to the starting blocks.

I'm not going to promise results as dramatic as your's but I've made up my mind that I have got to make some changes. Right now I'm 54 years old and 283 lbs at 5'10". I'll be very pleased if I'm at 230 this time next year. I know if I can stick with it I'll feel several years younger.

Thank You for the inspiration.

Another thing, she has been a couple of months with very little bread. She had pain in several joints before that. The pain has virtually disappeared.

I gave up all grains because they are all associated with health problems of some kind. When you research it you will find out that we don't even have the same grains since the 40's as we have had the previous 10000 years because of genetic engineering. Grains contain a defense toxin to cause these problems in animals to prevent animals from eating them.
