We are considering going over to the WWII museum next weekend, we've never been. The plan is to drive over Saturday morning and come back Sunday. Is there a nearby hotel y'all would recommend?

Hampton Inn by the convention center.

Hilton at the end of poydras. The restaurant in the hotel, Dragos, is very good.

You could also drive back to MS and hit the boats Don't gamble. Work too hard to give money away.

Mark if you stay near the convention center, eat at Mulates just across the street. Great cajun food. I feel the same way about gambling. Not everyone feels the need to drink every day or gamble their money away.

I would say it's a fair exhibition, but certainly nothing to write home about. Kinda slap shod, in my opinion. It's like New Orleans was attempting to pay homage to the WWII generation without spending any money.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Last time the Wife and I went to NO we stayed at the Drury inn on Carondolet. We caught the trolley at the corner and rode all over the place. They offer a meal and adult beverage every evening.

Good time to go, this is the "off-season." Lots of hotels near canal and over towards quarter.

I at at Dragos a few weeks ago and it was overall good, but I swear those oysters are overrated they are just butter and garlic.

We are considering going over to the WWII museum next weekend, we've never been. The plan is to drive over Saturday morning and come back Sunday. Is there a nearby hotel y'all would recommend? No hotel recommendations, but the WWII Museum is the only thing I'd ever go back to NOLA for. Absolutely fantastic. PLEASE plan on taking an entire day for this and DO NOT miss the movie at the beginning, assuming you're a history buff. We tried it with the kids one year while they were high school and middle school. We couldn't make it more than half a day and I was a little disappointed.

We actually went to see The Rolling Stones in NOLA a few weeks ago. It was a drive over and back and didn’t spend the night. No problems where we were. Had planned to go to the WW2 museum but couldn’t swing it.
