All these fat rattlers indicate a real good population of mice and rabbits in the area. These last few are the biggest ones that I ever remember being posted on here.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

That one was one of the biggest I’ve ever killed , if not the biggest. It hangs off the tailgate by a few inches on each end. And fat as hell. But on the tape, he’s just 4’7. Probably weighed about 13-14 pounds. It’s hard as hell for me to believe when someone says they’ve seen a damn 6’ or bigger timber rattler.

Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Killed one 2 years ago in my front yard only 25 feet from the front door. He measured 54 inches. He was the biggest I ever remembered killing. Head was nearly as wide as my hand & like this one- fat as a hog. Could really hurt a fella.

several years ago a guy in Cherokee Co ran over a big timer rattler, thought he killed it, tried to cut it's rattlers off. It nailed him on the hand and he ended up dying. Buddy and I skinned a nice one a while back after we cut its head off, he grabbed it to put it in a bag and it struck at him with its head cut off, we both about crapped our pants!

That's a beautiful hide.

That's a good un for sure. Looks like he been eating possums.
And yes, they get bigger. Back in the late 80's I killed one that
was 6'2".
Just went up to the farm in Tall. this weekend and found a huge
shed from one in the barn. I tip-toed around that place all weekend.

Been a goodun next year!
