I've been thinking how social media forums descend into gutter speech and bravado smack that is not tolerated in face-to-face social settings. I challenge every person on aldeer to consider your individual responsibility to this forum. What you say and how you say it is completely within your control. You decide whether to use speech that is honorable or dishonorable, clean or filthy, kind or hateful, constructive or destructive, appropriate or inappropriate. There are lots of honorable folks on this forum who consistently take the high road. But there are some on here who seem to look for ways to drag conversations into the gutter, knowing there will be followers who pile on and help drive it down the low road.

The thermostat sets the temperature of its surroundings. The thermometer reflects the temperature of its surroundings. Which are you?

According to aldeer policy: "... you will not use this board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law." If this gets consistently enforced, aldeer will be better for it.

The “Thermostat” contains a “thermometer” and attempts to control the temperature within a box, so y’all don’t feel bad for being outside the box. Some folk can withstand more extreme temperature changes.

And most campuses are gun free zones, which is more evidence of the idiocy being perpetrated on our youth.
