Any of you guys ever done a Euro turkey skull? I saved the head from one last season that I have in the freezer. I live in Opelika if you guys know anyone that would do it. I don't want a mount, just the skull cleaned to keep on a shelf for a conservation piece.

I don't think I'll have time for the ant hill trick or the boiling, etc.

I've thought about this myself. If I'm fortunate enough to kill a bird next year (God willing), I may try it. I figure I'd just do it same as a deer skull - skin it out and remove as much flesh as possible, then set it on a fire ant hill and cover it with a bucket to keep critters out of it. after a couple months, should be relatively clean. Rinse, hit it with some peroxide to whiten it, done.

I tried it and too many small pieces and it came apart, sure there’s a way but mine didn’t work and haven’t tried again

I did this one through maceration. A pretty tedious cleaning process with tweezers and small dental picks. Beetles would be 1000 times easier and better.
