Water snake. Not venomous, but mean as a "snake." Easy to confuse with a cotton mouth some times, especially in the water near the bank. I've terminated a few thinking they were cotton mouth at the lake.

Non poisonous snake bite is just that... Non poisonous even to a 3 yr old. Should have taught him to stay away from snakes. Now he'll probably try to kill the next one and get bit and that one may be poisonous.
