I had an identical looking rash on my left hand and arm after weedeating in my backyard. It had to be a poisonous plant but I never figured out which kind it was. I nuked the area with gly after that.

Looks like a bunch of fire ant stings. You can scrub those blisters off and go get a spray tan today and you should still have your surgery tomorrow.

Looks like poison ivy or sumac. I’d take a couple of benedryl and put bleach on it.

Some CBD oil ought to clear it right up.

I cut down a bunch of privet and burned it one time and had something like this all over my body minus the blisters.

Let's hope that it's nothing more than a heat rash, but I'd definitely get it checked. These days, one can never be too careful with medical concerns.

Heat Rash?

looks like chiggers to me. If i go hunting saturday, mine usually pop up sunday after lunch. Most of the time i get them on my feet the worst. The ones on my feet and arm pits usually blister more than any where else.

My first thought was seed ticks or chiggers. I had seed ticks on my feet when I was young and then
wearing my boots and sweating caused sores and blisters that looked exactly like that. Soaked my feet in Clorox water and treated with neosporin, I was miserable for about a week. But we didn’t have all these crazy death plagues back then seems like. I’d let a Dr call it.

Many times Poison Ivy/Oak will blister like this. The socks you had on may have allowed the juices to stay on the sock and you got a big dose of overexposure. Walking on the plants would release the juices and the socks acted like a wick to absorb and hold them. By chance have you changed washing detergent? Some times new detergent will break out body parts exposed to the washed items.

I assure you that the surgery will be postponed because of this. Don't hide it from the Dr. This could be bad news if the surgery happens with the blisters you have.

Good Luck.

No doubt the surgery ain't happening. Whatever poisonous plant I got into with the weedeater caused blisters that looked just like that. Once it stopped itching and spreading, it took quite a while to completely go away. The blisters eventually scabbed over and left scars that are still visible..

Waiting to see my dermatologist and find out who wins the prize. But then, how do we know that this guy knows any more than aldeer?

Most of the bites now look like fire ant bites with blisters on them. But if I got bit by several hundred ants and never knew it, that's a really bad sign of something. I always feel them the instant they chomp.down.

My guess is that it's a tick illness that might explain some of the other problems I have.

From looking at your foot and hearing your story about the rash occurring after picking peas, this is most likely chiggers. Often time with chigger bites you will have the rash pop out at various times even if all of your bites occurred at the same time. The rash itself is not spreading, it simply arises at different times for no apparent reason.

As far as cancelling your surgery, the only reason they would cancel your surgery is it the vesicles (blisters) on your feet were to become infected or if you scratched the area so much that it became infected from having bacteria enter the areas of irritation on your skin.

Unfortunately with chiggers there is not a lot you can do, the rash simply has to fade as the body's histamine response to the initial bites fades away. You could get a prescription for steroid cream to apply 2-3 times per day to the rash to calm the irritation, and if the rash is widespread enough you could do steroids by mouth. But with a back surgery coming up I am sure your neurosx would frown upon any form of by mouth steroid.

Scabies is also another possibility but usually this will present first on the hands in the webs of the fingers but it can present on the feet as well. It will spread all over the body and is some nasty stuff, you will definitely require treatment with either elimite topical solution or by mouth ivermectin/stromectrol. Interested in seeing what your derm says about this, keep us posted.

PCP, come up here and I’ll run you through the head catch. I’ll give you some Ivomec and go ahead and put fly tags in your ears. I’ll pour some burnt motor oil with 80% sulfur added for that rash. That’ll cure you.
