The sales manager at Decatur Toyota filled this Highlander up and told me to drive it home, super nice vehicle, but it drives just like a minivan! The third row is tiny, my 10 year old son says he definitely likes the Ford Explorer a lot more.
I guess Fords are built pretty well, but I just know this Toyota Highlander will run forever.
Oh well, guess I’m gonna have to drive an Explorer for a few days and see how we like it.

I'm not so sure a Z71 crew cab truck wouldn't be my best bet!

Yep mine too. Went back and forth between the Highlander and the Explorer for about 2 months.

I went with the GF SUV shopping back before Christmas. I drove everything she wanted to look at. We both chose the Highlander. It drove better than anything I tried. Not as good as my truck nut dang good for a SUV. Still happy with it.

My wife has a 16 4runner and loves it. My aunt has a 16 Highlander and loves it. IMO the Highlander provides a better ride but like you said drives like a minivan so I guess it's what she prefers. Lots of moms in my neighborhood have new Honda Pilots and they seems to really like them.

I love my 2012 Highlander Limited. One of the most comfortable rides I've ever owned. Decent Gas Mileage and lots of cargo room. For not so long trips I've fit 2 full grown adults in the 3rd row with not much problem.

My mom has a highlander. It is a good driving vehicle. But, if I was going to use the third row I wouldn’t buy it. But, the only vehicles with a decent third row are full size SUVs.

I have had two Toyota SUV's, both purchased by me at used with about 50,000 miles. I have driven both to over 200,000 and neither has ever had any major issues. I purchased a year old Ford F150 with 20,000 miles six months ago. It has been to the dealership three times to fix the same issues, with no success. Ford tells me there is no fix for the issue. If you want reliability, go with a Toyota. Just one man's opinion.

Does it eat tires every 25K miles like the other Mercedes? I've had two friends that bought a G-class and both had a lot of issues and tires were worn out after 20-25K miles. Both of them got fed up, one traded for a Toyota and the other for a Lexus.
