I have a new echo 590. I was gonna go stihl again but love my echo. It has a 5yr warranty vs 2yr on stihl.

Has 59.8 cc motor and can handle a 27in bar but takes a 24 very well. Ordered from home depot for $450 plus tax. Its a beast. It out cuts and powers a new stihl 291 all day.

The husky at the house has served us well. If I was buying another it would be a husky or stihl

Back when I was young and dumb I ran a big Dolmar. Had a about a 60cc motor on it. If you left it running on concrete it would walk away from you. Ran like a scalded gorilla.

I ended up getting a 450 Rancher, and it is plenty of saw for what I need. Came with the aftermarket Husky orange case too... at least I won’t lose the saw in the dark! rofl

I had two husky chain saws and they both leaked bar oil all out in my shop. I won’t own another for that reason alone. I’m partial to echo over Stihl, but either one is good.

Stihl or husky and get the best you can. Rather have when you need it than to have one that’s not enough.

Used every saw made over 40 yrs logging . Stihl or husky are good. Nothing else. Do not buy a stihl with computer adjusting carb. They junk. They will have the letter C after the number of the size of saw . Like a MS 291 C. Stay away from
Them. Like buying a truck with def fluid engine.

I ran my Husky 450 Rancher today for several hours, and it did great. I think I made a good choice buying this model.
