A good clear coat product actually should cost more than the paint under it
I bought paint and clear coat today for a bike we’re finishing up, paint ( 3 quarts/2 colors) was $264 Clear coat 3 quarts $496
In my opinion if you’re gonna skimp do it on the paint, I use premium clear on every base/ clear paint job
