I spend almost $15.00 to eat lunch. $15.00 to bait doesn’t seem unreasonable. It's not the amount that is unreasonable. It's the principle. If I dump a thousand gallons of toxic waste in a pond, that's a crime. But I can buy a permit and it's no longer a crime, yet the action and effect is the same.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I agree Outback, but the bottom line is, it should have never been a crime to begin with. We have too many game laws as it is. We can only kill 3 bucks, legally. Enforce that law and forget about all the silly laws that worry about how or when you kill it. I agree with no hunting on a public road, that's dangerous and no hunting at night. With a 3 buck limit, why cant we kill 2 in one day? You cant kill but 3. Why should they care if we shoot them in a clearcut that has native browse that attracts them, in a food plot planted to attract them, or over a feeder. Why should the state care, as long as we only kill 3 bucks.? BTW, for all the people who are against baiting deer, I've found none who are against baiting in dove. Whats up with that?

everything is about money No doubt. Let's see how many kids under 16, hunting with their Dads this year over bait, with no permit, gets by WITHOUT getting a ticket...

Answer guys is very simple: Don't Bait.
Folks been killing deer for hundreds of years without baiting them. I don't think it will help in the long run. I'm not a pro, but I always kill a couple of mature bucks each year without bait. I know folks around me feed deer and they complain about getting only pictures. It seems deer get real smart once season opens and know what will happen if they visit the area during legal hunting hours. I see businesses making a profit selling corn this year, so they will be the winners.
If you want to hunt over corn just buy the permit. I think once we test positive this year for CWD it all will change. I plan on buying the permit just in case I am unaware there is bait in an area I want to hunt. I have access to 4 different tracts of property and I know someone on each will be feeding.. I will just focus heavily on the rut and do what I have always done.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but does anybody have a link to an article or have knowledge of the new baiting law? Does it have to be in a feeder? Does it have to be corn? I heard yes and yes, but I want to read it for myself. I’m hoping it’s a free- for -all.....
Carry on. Who did you hear that from, who supplied the answers to your questions? Thanks.

Just checked the deed to my property and it says I own it. Says nothing about a feeding permit, seasons or bag limits (or turkey season opening on Saturday) As much as I wholeheartedly agree, and understand your position, the wildlife legally doesn't belong to you. Although the property is yours, the wildlife is a natural resource. That's the reason I get so upset when they implement rules to pacify people.

You’re still just renting it from the government. Skip paying the property tax and see what happens.
