I wanted to get the opinions of the aldeer crew. What is your favorite sweet corn to raise in Alabama? And pros and cons, if you will share. Such as taste, hardiness etc...
I’m thinking about planting a truck patch next year and wanted to hear from y’all.

G90 is my favorite. It’s a bicolor, super sweet and really hardy.

I am with Lonster. I plant G90. It’s not as prone to blowing over as Peaches and Cream.

However if I was truck farming, I’d plant a RR variety.

I plant the RR sweet corn. You have to register to get the seed unless you have a source to get it. I get some free and the seed I buy runs $30-$40 for 2500 seeds. We planted 3 different varieties this year. Obsession 2, remedy2, and aspire 2. The obsession and remedy is a bi color and aspire is a yellow. It’s a lot cheaper for gly then for the herbicide you need to grow good weed free corn. I do have a small patch of regular sweet corn that I planted to compare.

It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

Another vote for G90. Everything else blows over at my place.

G90 is the bomb. Obsession 2 tastes great and is easier to grow...but nuthin touches g90 for taste.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
