One of the toilets in one of my rental houses is having some issues. The last renters never mentioned it but I’ve got a new family moving in and he sent me the message below last night. Any ideas?
“When you flush it fills all the way to the brim. Slowly swirls and eventually empties but doesn’t take solids with it. Then there is an sucking and gurgling sound when it is all said and done. I plunged it and flushed it about 12 times. Really didn’t improve the flushing. “

could be the jets stopped up, or a toy is stuck in the trap. Seen both cause this.

Fill a 5-gallon bucket with water and pour it into the toilet bowl as fast as you possibly can.
It takes a long time to grow an old friend.

Something is blocking it. If Swampys suggestion isn't the answer you are gonna have ti SNAKE it. You may also try a liquid that they sell at you local ACE hardware. It is much stronger than draino. I think its name is Liquid Fire.

I'm thinking it's some sort of obstruction.
Thanks for the opinions.

Call the man. There are a lot of around-the-house things I'll try to do myself....but when it comes to something like that, I've got no problem paying to make it someone else's problem.

could be the jets stopped up, or a toy is stuck in the trap. Seen both cause this. this gonna need a drain snake or pull the toilet if something is in trap. We see that alot at our properties and its usually fingernail polish. women like to line the top of the toilet tanks with makeup for some reason and it ends up falling in the bowl. if its clogged jets they can be fixed by turning the water off and pouring muriatic acid down the hole the flapper covers, let it sit 30min to an hour it will disolve the calcium build up and work like new again.

A snake and an air gun plunger did the trick. Not sure what was on there but it’s flowing again.
