Hey when y’all are scouting areas with kids where their could be snakes what do you all do? I haven’t found a large supply of kids snake boots and plus their feet grow so fast it would be really expensive to keep getting new snake boots every year for them. Any one had luck chaps or different method of protection?

Have you looked on your local Facebook Marketplace and/or Craigslist? Seem to always be a few pair of kids' size snake boots on FB, probably for the reason you mentioned - they outgrow them long before they wear them out.

I try not to take kids into the woods during this time of year if I can avoid it. Mostly because Ticks chiggers and secondary rattlers.

It actually works.
3 or 4 wraps of duct tape is almost inpenenitrable

Chaps or shin guards..iddo shin guards in this heat. They make flexible snake gaiters too.

Walk in front of them and keep them in line use a stick to check likely hangouts This is what I do. Plus the highest boots they can fit into

How old of kids are talking about? Toddlers or 10-12 y/o? Sportsmans guide has snake gators for $35.
