Do you remember when gas tanks were in the cab? Do you remember when trucks had no back door? Do you remember when the starter switch was in the floor? Do you remember when a new truck cost less than a new house? Phones were tethered to the wall, and neighbors actually knew each other, and men could settle their differences without going to jail?

I remember all but the starter switch in the floor . Remember the dimer switch being there That was actually before my time, as well. But grandaddy had two 40 something trucks, and a 50 something Plymouth, with a floor starter. I learned how to drive in the Plymouth.

Best I remember Fords starters were a push button on the dash, GMs were on the floor. I bet a lot of members here never drove a 3 on the tree, or used a manual choke .

I remember when a man could hunt wherever he wanted, as long as it wasn't posted. I don't recall ever having the free range to trespass, but I do remember having permission to hunt land all over the county for free.

But grandaddy had two 40 something trucks, and a 50 something Plymouth, with a floor starter. I learned how to drive in the Plymouth. When I was a kid my grandfather had an old truck, GMC, I think, with a starter in the floor. I also remember trading knifes at school with the shop teacher. My dad's '73 Dodge having a gun rack in the rear window. Drove it to school often with a .22 in the rack.

I still think the standard cab pickup is the best looking truck on the road.

My 64 Chevy Stepside had the gas tank behind the seat. Three on the tree and dimmer switch on the floor too.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
