My guess is this wasnt them being anti 2A as much as worrying about the potential liability.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

My guess is this wasnt them being anti 2A as much as worrying about the potential liability.
I believe it was more about Ford worrying about negative P.R. I don't know how or why they would be liable for something their Franchisee took upon themselves to do.

But Chick Fil A sure has prospered since they took a stand against the Gays in Mobile, every day both lines are wrapped around their building, and their food isn't that special lol
