For the third time in as many years had to deal with some folks today that decided to piss away a six figure job for the chance to put a few hundred extra dollars in their pocket, what the hells wrong with people

well you know... 6 figures aint what it used to be. I remember when a gal had more than 3 figures she was not a very attractive gal.

Oh I'm sure. But it's nothing new, before my Stepdad was in business for himself he had 2 partners back in the late 70s, and they were building chit in the am hours while was off Bar hoping

Yeah, let’s just say that I wound up with a good bit of money tied up in some jobs I’ll never collect on. That’s a hard thing to get away with when my wife does an excellent job tracking absolutely every penny that comes and goes right down to who’s using more gas than usual and whether or not their getting enough service calls to be worth it. She don’t miss much.

Some people just don't get it. I make a decent living and sometimes things get a little tight , but I've never taken a thing from an employer. I mean God has always got us through the tough times. Sounds like a good man could make very good money working for hoggin. People just look a gift horse in the mouth sometimes.

Those type of people think they are smarter than everyone else. Problem is they just think that.

The ones that kill me are the women office managers that embezzles money. I remember reading a couple of years ago or do about a lady from the Hayden area. She was managing a doctors office in Hoover driving a BMW, taking exotic vacations and all. She got around a million dollars if I remember right. She had been quit from the place a year or so and they brought in forensic accounts I guess they couldn’t figure out why they were making so much more money all of a sudden.

Had the same problem when my wife worked for a pool company. That gas card should only be used to fill the company truck, not your personal vehicle(s).

It amazes me what people will do. Had a pretty well compensated sales rep “accidentally” pay for his son’s car repair on corporate credit card - which caused the red flag to raised. We started auditing his expenses, found that he had been buying cartons of cigarettes and beer at the gas station when he’d fill up (card was to be used only for fuel and customer lunches).

It was a very pathetic story when he came clean and told us why, so we canned him and explained that he would forfeit his last pay check and earned commissions AND if he decides to fight it, we would sue him for the entire amount of ALL of his expenses, unless he could provide a breakdown of all expenses and the associated receipts.
