I bet most of those things line up.

That's one of those statistics that make you go.... Duh!

Sad times

I second that motion and move to form a committee on the proper method(s) to dispatch the snakes - hoe, shovel, machete, or gun.

Not sure if you seen any of my pictures but I can be a consultant on killing snake real good.

It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.

I’ve taken care of a few people that were bitten by poisonous snakes. In every single case beer and/or illegal drug use and snake handling were involved.

I was putting up a ladder stand once and came across a small timber rattler on a branch about 7 feet up. At first glance I just saw some movement and the colors, and assumed it was a rat snake because it was in a tree. Then I got a close look (too close) of its head and vertical pupils. I got a big cardboard box from the truck and put it on the ground beneath the critter, then shook it out, boxed it up, and relocated it to a spot we never hunted. Or, more precisely, where my partners no longer hunted after they saw me relocate it. grin

My best friends wife got bit yesterday by a rattlesnake that was on their front porch in Baldwin County. She is in Mobile Infirmary on her 14th dose of anti venom. Got her on the hand between her middle finger and ring finger. Snake was hiding around her potted plants as she was watering and moving them around.

She said it hurt like hell when it happened, after it happened and is just now letting up some. Snake is still on the loose.
