Not sure where you read that but Iran’s naval capabilities pales in comparison to ours. I mean that in sheer size of the fleet and combat power of assets versus assets.

I would venture to guess that we could completely obliterate Iran's entire navy with just a portion of one carrier group.

No doubt it pales in comparison. The article was saying that just the sheer number of vessels would overwhelm one of our ships defenses and they could do significant damage.

Stuff related to the small missile boats:

It's the "proxy navy" that has the small swarms according the that 1st article I posted.

Look I'm not saying that any country has a Navy that could compete with ours on a conventional battle, but the whole swarm attack by small, fast, maneuverable boats does make you wonder if one of our big vessels has the defensive capabilities for that style of attack.

Seals prolly already got mines attached to the bottom of them, waiting for the signal.

May not be Iran pulling these strings. May not even be Iran who did it. Trump is being baited to get into a war before the election.

Bingo Troy. They actually train for that exact "swarm" scenario down here once a year. Most of the inshore guides participate (govt pays them of course) but they get 40-50 private boats, they meet up at an assigned location where they are assigned groups, formations and target routes and they play the game in Choctawhatchee bay with the planes launching off of Eglin and mock targeting the boats. I've got a couple buddies that participate and they said they are generally notified within seconds of the exercise starting to shut off their motors and just drift because they are already "dead". 10 minutes is probably a big overstatement of the time it would take, based on what these guys say every year.

We could not have possibly bombed Iran when we were in Iraq.
They could have and would have rained missiles on our troops and killed tens of thousands of them.

We should have stayed out of Iraq and instead used strategic bombing on Iran's nuclear facilities.
When they were vulnerable and could have been wiped out.
Without jeopardizing any of our military.
Now those nuclear enrichment and development sites are hardened and way underground.

Mike Pompeo has publicly said that Iran is the culprit. Shitt bout to get interesting and fuel prices will go thru the roof.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

So, a Norwegian and a Japanese vessel have been potentially attacked. Sounds like Norway & Japan should take care of matters if they think Iran is responsible. No need for the US to do anything as we aren't the world police.
