We have sank so low, we allow homosexuals to marry and adopt children. Does anyone think that child will grow up normal? I was thinking today we allow so much, why couldn't a man have two wives? I agree that he'd probably have a moment of peace. Other than that why not allow multiple wives?

I agree we are generally circling the bottom of the toilet as a culture and a civilization. However, I know for a fact that a child, who was taken from his family by my wife when she worked for AL DHR, who was placed with and subsequently adopted by an older lesbian couple turned out just fine. The child’s natural family has a well documented history(with LE and DHR) of prostituting their own children(from very small to their teens), severe physical abuse and are suspected of possibly killing a few. Here, the lesbians were a much better option than the hetero couple that produced the child.

My children will grow up normal because they have been taught what is right and wrong by my wife and I, their youth minister and church leaders, and even school teachers and coaches, the last making the private school tuition worth it. They may and will stray, hopefully not in this area, but it won't be because they weren't taught right from wrong.

Values that represent a number of wives or who one marries are gone. I could marry a goat. I could marry 4 women. It doesn't matter anymore. Its all a joke IMO. Marriage is a farce. Sad to say but it is true. When two dudes can marry then we've crossed he line and it means nothing.

Irish Jr's girlfriend has two "moms." I haven't met them yet, but she seems very normal. Actually more normal then some of Irish Jr's other girlfriends he has had (including one that was raised by strict Catholic parents. She was a nut job.)

She's a fine young lady and is quite smart too. She just got a full ride academic scholarship to college. She starts in the spring. She is extremely well mannered as well. Something I wish more kids were these days.

We like her regardless of who her parents are. Sorry to mess up the narrative of this thread...

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I would rather a child have two properly vetted stable in their lives loving parents than being raised by the state.

Most children that grow up in the state systems are very much behind/disadvantaged.
More likely to drop out of school. More likely to go to jail/prison. More likely to have their children end up in the custody of the state.

In this thread is two examples of happy healthy well-sorted children raised by gay parents.
Anecdotal evidence yes but relevant regardless.

Just from strictly a taxpayers fiscal perspective, wouldn't it be better to have even one less child on the state's books?
Children in healthy homes will cost the tax payers less money today and less money in the future(jail+their children in the system).

Homosexuals have a very high rate of suicide and divorce. That is not what I would consider a stable environment.

Isn't the general off the cuff number that's thrown around is that 30ish-50ish% of traditional marriages fail?

Most of the top 20 suicide states are very much conservative and I don't know the numbers but I would think quite small gay populations.

Morons the Mormons that follow current church doctrine don't have more than one wife. If you knew why they started have multiple wives you might be more understanding.

NOTHING can replace the primal characteristics that a husband and a wife can give to a child. I was a single Father for about 1.5 years after I gained primary custody of my daughter. As hard as I tried, I could still not do what a woman could do.

I agree with you that children are the best in a loving healthy mother&father household.

But in a shucks situation like what Mdees described, why let perfect/best be the enemy of good?
Good gay parents are better than the situation those children were in.

Marriage is an oath a man and women make to one another bound by God. What the government calls marriage........I could care less. The government should even be involved in marriage.

I have always heard that about dentists, and I have a theory. My theory is that many (most?) dentists end up going out to start their own practice. They spend years getting medical/dental education, but very few every get any basic entrepreneurial/small business education. They know how to be a dentist, but they don't know how to run a company. The stress of being a small business owner eventually takes its toll.
