I should have mowed yesterday. I can feel the ground moving from the grass growing now.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

It’s been on and off down here in Destin every since yesterday morning. I hope it helps the corn I saw in Pike and Coffee counties but it might be to late for some outside of Elba.

Just checked my rain gauge. 4" Didn't realize when had gotten that much. Must have slept through a monsoon.

4" of rain?
First time I read that I thought it was .4"
Our rain gauge is broken and I can't remember to get another one. We've got water ponding in the back yard so we got more early this morning than I thought we did. We also just got another good one. One thing I noticed during the last rain, that today the rain is falling heavier than the radar is indicating.

We've gotten just the right amounts where I live. My garden shot right up.

You can feel it percolating here. I suspect we will get a frog-strangler by this evening.

I gotta get some chufa fields ready to plant. Should have started today, but I made the mistake of trusting a watherman. Forecast said 90% rain today, haven't seen a drop since 5am.
