Fees at a dealership are baloney. That's why out the door price is all that matters. They can call it whatever they want to.

Never paid fees. They are definitely baloney.
Always " out the door" pricing.

Not a Tacoma, but best deal on Tundra that I found around South Alabama was at Bob Tyler in Pensacola. $37k for 2019 TRD 4x4 about 3 months ago. Guy from Eastern Shore Toyota called me when on my way to Pensacola with a price. When I told him the deal that I was offered at Bob Tyler, he said to go get that truck. He couldn't touch that price. Sticker price was just a little over $46k. I called all Toyota dealers within approx. 100 miles of Mobile for pricing.

Five star Toyota of Milledgeville. They have been the cheapest on my last 2 Tundras and came off almost 10k on a limited Highlander for my sister.

I hope ya'll paying 30K plus for trucks are maxed out on your retirement. A truck is a piss poor investment.

Repairs are also a poor investment on a used
truck.
I've had 5 new trucks since 1975 and my 05 Tacoma
Is on its 14th year. Had to spend the first money on
it about a month ago. Only had maintenance
done prior to that.
I'm way ahead of my buddies that bought used
around that time. Most are driving their 3rd truck,
at least.

Sand Mountain Toyota in Albertville. Sales Manager is from Scottsboro . I've tried other Toyota dealerships and they always beat them.

A truck is not an investment IMO unless it's for a business or in some way supposed to make you $. Even if they are piss poor investments, Toyota has less poor piss. wink

Yup. Guy I work with bought a brand new 4x4 TuRD Tacoma 4 months ago from Bob Tyler in Pcola for $34k. He's already wanting to trade it for a "real truck" (his words). Said it won't pull a greasy string out of a cat's ass. Tired of it downshifting all the time at the slightest hill when pulling his boat.

The nerve of you two putting down the holy grail of truck on Aldeer.

OK , let's get this straight right now . If you're wanting to retire in Ol' Hi-Jackson you better know this is MAGA AND Toyota country!

There’s a reason why the millionaires say not to make payments on a depreciating asset....

^^ This. Also, I just bought a new Tundra last week because a 3 yr old one with 85,000 miles was within $3500 of a new one. The brand holds its value. And the only reason is people know they’re reliable.

I am a long way from you but have always had good luck buying from Palmers Toyota in Mobile. I just picked up a 2019 4Runner TRD Offroad Premium fully loaded and with every option available that was stickered at 44k for $38k. I traded my 2015 GMC Z71 w/6.2l for it and haven't looked back.

Who said anything about payments.
A used truck also depreciates in value.
Start back riding a bike?
What do you do for transportation?

90% of new cars are financed....

If you’re the 10% that pays with cash, hats off to you.

I actually think it's less than 10%. At least according to a friend whose family owns some dealerships. Almost no one does it. GM for sure makes it almost impossible to pay cash. They obviously want you financing, and buying more car. They're not stupid.

I can buy a real nice truck from between 6K-15K,just depending on what I need. I'm still driving my last 6K tuck 10 years later and still driving my last 15K truck 7 years later.

The only reason to spend 30K plus on a truck is to look good, and iIm all for it as long as it isn't your biggest expense and your retirement plan.LOL
