Ive been to the duck calling one, at Mack Prarie Wings in Stuttgart Arkansas. There are a lot of other things going on, gumbo cookoff, beer, music.

Not just sitting down listening to dudes blow on calls.

You are right! I had a buddy calling in it one year and we went up for it. That was a lot of fun! I actually have 3 friends who have called in the World.

Unfortunately the winners probably can't call up an actual turkey.
The worse turkey calls, I've ever heard, came from real turkeys.

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I know of several competition callers that are just like that but most of the top guys are real hunters that are as good or better in the woods than they are on stage!

Those boys don’t know every tone and cadence because they listen to it on YouTube. I’d hate to be in a club with just about any of them if they’re like the ones I know.

No I haven't. Don't even know what that means.

Dave Owens, Cove on here, was the 2018 grand national champion. His YouTube channel is called the Pinhoti Project. Travels the country each spring absolutely slaying turkeys on public land. Live in GA and spends a lot of time hunting public land in Alabama, and makes it look easier than it should be. Dave will admit though that competition calling is slightly different than woods calling.

I've got a cousin who could easily limit out on public land every year
But he don't know anything about youtube or video cameras. 😆

Anybody who says they could easily limit on public land every year is lying, arrogant, or never tried. Besides, you said your cousin COULD do it which means it sounds like he hasn’t actually done it 😀

My uncle limits out every year on public land. Been doing it for years. Management Area. But he also walks A TON, scouts A TON, does his homework. Off season, during the season, etc. He is special when it comes to hunting and killing turkey. Wish I knew 1/4 of what he does.

Actually he has.
But my point was, a number of good hunters can limit out on public land.
Most of them don't post videos.
The best turkey hunters will never let you know who they are.
It's like the guy who claims to be a Navy Seal. He is not.
