I haven't been, but have you considered the grass in the big pocket on right in Hannahatchee?

I was there last week. Saw lots of these.. [video:youtube] https://youtu.be/5nwZCBfrgrc Caught a few of these.... [video:youtube] https://youtu.be/AY32D-pBW9k And lots of bass. Mostly small fish, but found one nice one. The top water bite was good early for a couple hours. After that, had to move out a little deeper. I fished upriver from Lake Point but not as far up as you’re talking. Apparently I’ve forgotten how to post pics. Maybe the links work for everyone.

I've been fishing Eufaula since 1972 and never caught a single one there. You seem to be a Grinnell whisperer! You need to fish the Grinnell tx in Mobile! Yes, they fght hard and are tough. I've heard you can leave one out of the water for hours and they are still alive. I've had'em destroy many a Balsa B in Mobile.

I'm going to try to come to the grinnel tourney in Mobile this year. Would be fun to fish it. C'mon over, Perch!

Clem, if you are serious you should know they don't use livewells. They get one of those blue plastic 55 gal drums and cut the top off. It sits in the floor of the boat. If you need the details about the tx, you could probably get them from Foxs Trolling Motors.

CD...did you flip any grass or throw a frog? Both. Couldn’t really get bit on a frog but had lots of strikes on a buzz bait and a toad around the edges and in pockets. Flipping is how I caught all those toothy critters. The bigger bass came off deeper brush on a crank bait.

Not sure what they did but couple guntersville kids won the Bassmaster state championship couple weekends back on Eufaula. They had 21 lbs. One of em was Oakley Howell, pro Randy Howell’s kid. Randy was with MLF at Table Rock when it happened. A local is said to have captained for the boys.
