Viewpoint isn’t being produced any longer. What is there is coming from existing supplies. They are likely using Method+Escort+Arsenal (the components in Viewpoint).

English ivy is tough and, like Kudzu, will take several years. What it is growing on and you want to save will determine what you end up using to spray.

I have never seen utility applicators use anything but blue dye. There is red dye out there, but I dont know any that use it, so do t have any idea what the orange stuff is.

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

I've got a buddy that uses garlon and it will flat out kill. I don't know how he mixes it but that's all he uses.

It's a mixture of potassium chloride and copper sulfate with a 73% glysophate additive.
The orange color is a marking agent. There is no actual brand name, at least not that I was told.
They buy it directly from Monsanto.

U gotta have license to spray it?

If it comes from Monsanto, then it has to be good for you... Right?

Don't they make veggie burgers and stuff?

I don't know, but I take a bath in roundup about once a week.

Mixing it "heavy" isn't really necessary, and you'll spend unnecessary time cleaning spray nozzles.

You are 100% wrong there. AO hasn’t been used since the early 80’s. It’s 2,4,5 T. EPA banned and dismantled production in 1982 last drop was sprayed in 1985.

I changed it. 1/2 of it is still around. I was always told paraquat was agent orange. Upon a quick study, I was wrong, it was 2,4,5 T and 24D. So 1/2 of the mix is still around and sprayed every day, just not in Vietnam, they banned 24D and paraquat.

That was pretty quick policing of faulty chemical information 257, I was wondering where you were on this one.

Negative. We still spray paraquat and 24D every day. AO wasn’t even in same league as these 2. Don’t let the 2,4,5 T designation mislead you thinking it’s a close kin to 24d at all.

The article I read said agent orange was a mix of 2,4,5 T and 24d. Another article said they had just banned 24d and paraquat in vietnam because of health concerns. I understand 2,4,5 T hasnt been around in a long time. I spray with a gramoxone/gly mix that does a pretty good job, seems to work quicker than gly, longer than gramoxone. I used it on some english ivy around a house then came back in 2weeks weedeated the dead and sprayed again the little bit I missed that was up under. Seemwd to work well, honwowner was happy.

You are wasting money putting gly in with gramoxone. Just use gramoxone by itself with a hot dose of MSO. You’re essentially burning plant tissue with paraquat therefore gly doesn’t have time to translocate

We still spray both as well.
But from what I understand (which could be wrong) the main carcinogens in AO was actually the surfactants.

What exactly is the purpose of the mso?
