Friend of mine showed me a mount of a 3+ pounder he caught once...didn’t even look like a bream, it was cartoonishly huge! Yours, at 1.7 lbs, is a much prettier fish. As others have said, he needs to find his way to the wall!

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Well managed pond or lake and well feed. Either way it’s a pig for sure.👍🏻

There are some pure bluegill and shell crackers in the pond but they aren't getting as big. I think these are some sort of hybrids. Don't know that much about bream though. I have caught at least a dozen of these over 1.5 lbs in this pond over the past 2 weeks.
I believe the pond is actually very mismanaged. I have caught hundreds of bass out of it over the past 9 months and still can't catch one over 5 lbs. Have caught several bass multiple times now. Based on the sore mouths. The bream are hard to catch. I don't think there are many of them in the pond either.
The pond edge has floating grass mat about 30 feet all around the edge. The floating grass is full of real small bass and bream. But, you hardly ever catch any small fish. I bet I haven't caught more than 3 bass under a pound out of it and only one small bream.
I have fished worms up to 15 inches. I have fished big top water baits. I have brought in small bream to fish with. Still nothing over 5 lbs.
When I pull up my anchor it is full of silt. I haven't found a single place in they pond that doesn't have a silt bottom. There is no structure in the pond either. I haven't hung on anything except the drain pipe.
I think the grass mat is good and bad. You can kill bass around it early and late. A trick worm is a pure joy.
Not complaining at all. I love this pond. I just think it could use some help. It could be better.

The pond is probably over populated with bass. That’s why they’re small. The over population of bass keeps the bream thinned down so only the strongest and biggest survive. Lefthorn is the pond guru. He can tell you way more than I can.
