I'm not being snobby or putting anyone down that likes it, but I've never understood the popularity of Crown Royal. It's a middle of the road blended whiskey. The bottle is fancier than what's inside of it. Maybe it's the cool bag it comes in.

I buy the new bagless bottles. I hate those damn bags.
My OCD won't let me throw away a perfectly good velour bag, but then I really have no use for it.

I never have either. If you are going to drink blended Canadian whiskey and mix it with something then just get the Rich & Rare. I guarantee you that I can pour you a glass of that and put it beside a glass of Crown and 99% of the people couldn't tell the difference and it's like $10 a bottle.

Now if someone is going to drink blended Canadian straight on the rocks then I would recommend Forty Creek.

Funny story. My best friend at work is named Dan Connell. I've got another buddy at work a young guy from Puerto Rico named Ernesto. He and I were on a trip one time and I asked him to teach me some Spanish. He's say's,

"Ok, what do you want to learn first?"

"How about 'Dan Connell wears flowery underwear.'"

After he quit laughing he says, "Dan Connell usa calzonzias de flores."

So I repeat it back to him several times like I am some Mexican soap opera star with emphasis. We're driving down the interstate and he's laughing so hard he can hardly drive.

A few days later we are back in the office and a bunch of us are on the elevator going to lunch with folks from other floors. Of course Dan's on there too. So I look over at Ernesto and proudly say "Dan Connell usa calzonzias de flores." And not only do Ernesto and I burst out laughing, but so do these other cute gals on the elevator with us. (who I had no idea spoke Spanish) Dan looks over at us and says, "I don't know what you said about me, but I know it can't be good." And everyone laughed again.

Dan's a huge practical joker so I have to get him when I can.

I drink a little but less than I did. I might have a couple drinks once or twice a month. You have to know that even one drink of alcohol and your liver will stop releasing keytones and start removing the alcohol.

Like I said,I still might have a little Vodka in some diet sprite once a month or sometimes I go several months cause it doesn't take much alcohol to stop weight loss.

Crown is nasty, as is most Canadian whiskey. Ever notice no one drinks crown and water? They have to mix it with something to make it palatable.
