You all do not know this man. There are many untruths stated about Roy Moore here, that aren't true. The man went from high school, to West Point, to Vietnam, to law school, and has never had a bad reputation among the people who know him in his community. You all are entitiled to your opinion, but that is all it is, an opinion. Some of you believe the political hit job pulled against him. Go ahead and have at it. Insult me or whatever. I personally don't think he should run, but not based on character. Roy Moore speaks publicly what he believes, and doesn't back down on his convictions. We need more politicians that "wrap" themselves in scripture. I was brought up in the same community. I went to school with his siblings, all of my school years. He certainly isn't perfect, but a pedophile, he is not. First I agree wholeheartedly that he is not a pedophile because I know the definition of a pedophile. I do believe he likes them young that puts him in the pervert range though, but my distaste for him goes back a lot further than any of these allegations. I simply have no use for someone that makes themselves a martyr for political and personal gain, which he most certainly did. Read the transcript of the 10 Commandments case and get back on this issue. He really needs to take the hint. If deep red Alabama would rather send a jack ass like Jones to Washington for two years, he ought to realize we don't like him, period. Refusal to accept this is as a sign of a narcissistic, arrogant psychopath.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I wish that idiot would get on Sassy and ride off into the sunset, not stopping till he gets to the Pacific. There will be one or two good candidates from NA in the race, high time LA breaks the chains and elects a good one from the north end of Alabama. One of these days the rest of the state gonna catch up to us.

It was a sad day in state history when Roy Moore was the best the Republican party could offer up to run for US Senate.

He's not a pedophile, but he is a career politician who makes a living by playing on folks religious and moral beliefs. We really dont need any more of that.

I dont disagree but when this first issue came up about the 10 commandments it was a moral issue for him and he stuck to his guns...then had his name publicized and ran with it. I dont know him personally either, but I do know a politician playing public opinion like a professional card player. I grew up around a lot of them in Montgomery, and was a page in the Statehouse. Only met a handful of them that I would trust to babysit my children today.

I don't know him personally but this is what I think... Please read the transcripts. The judge gave him numerous opportunities to keep the Commandments and "stick by his guns". He instead chose to take the path that he knew would be unconstitutional, thus giving the judge no choice. it was the only way he could be the victim and become a hero to the Christian Community that only took the time to read the headlines.

He "costed" the State a lot of money which is part of the reasons taxes get raised. I'm tired of politicians wasting money.

For all you folks on here that can't just can't bring yourselves to say anything good about Roy Moore, let's consider a few things-like most of you guys I'll interject my opinion on him & won't offer any apologies for it. First of all I don't believe all this crap about him any more than I believe in those that have spread it. Someone else on here was saying something about where was the clearing of his good name jokingly. How about this: where are all these devastated women that were hurt by Moore now. Not sure about you fellers but I ain't heard a word from them since they accomplished what they set out to do- a political hit job on Moore. If I was that devastated, like most of you, I'd go after him with everything I had, not just stop at election time. No, instead, their just sitting back laughing at all of you that are too stupid to realize how politics works. All the while counting the cash that was supplied to them by these liberal goons that put them up to it. They tried this rot with kavanaugh. They tried it with Herman cain. They tried it with Clarence Thomas. Honestly, how stupid can some of you get. Everybody has a past. Would some of you guys even vote for the man if he could prove that he was born of a virgin? Never mind the garbage that you gullibles have fallen for hook, line & sinker-lets look at where Moore would certainly stand with those of that are real conservatives. (1) gun control. I think we all know he can be counted on to defend the 2nd amendment. (2) abortion. This man would defend the unborn. This stupidity has been the scourge of America since the supreme Court legalized it. Is it any coincidence that since that was passed that we lost the Vietnam war? & By the way, Roy Moore is a Vietnam vet-he honorably served his country. If anyone thinks God will continue to bless a nation that condones killing it's own infants you've got to be crazy. I guess that makes me one of those dreaded "Bible thumpers" that others on here have mentioned. Call Moore what you will, but he ain't ashamed of associating himself with Christ & the Bible. Some of you critics of that might do well to remember that if you're ashamed of Christ & his word here in the flesh that Christ will be ashamed of you before the Father in heaven.(3) crime & govt. Corruption. Just to make this short, I think we all know that Moore would not be a friend of Hillary & the gang.(4) states rights. With his stand for the 10 commandments, it's obvious he could be counted on to defend Bama & the other 49 as long as those "rights" don't force you to accept crtain elements such as the homosexual crowd. This is all a true conservative wish list-what do some of you want? I believe the reality is that any of you that won't support Moore for any reason ain't really a consrvative at all. The song"you've got to stand for something or you"ll fall for anything"comes to mind. You can say he's grandstanding, a "Bible thumper" or call him what you will, but the man's got guts- something sorely lacking in conservatives today. Richard Shelby went out against him as well as Mitch mcConnel.Think about it- why such hatred for him from Washington? What's these clowns so scared of him for? They got something to hide? Sounds like to me that anyone that Washington hates that much has got to be just the man we need. And by the way, some of you on here are claiming that Alabama copletely rejects him. I say BS. Moore only lost by a few thousand votes. If a few more sorry clowns in this state would have gotten out to vote, we may not be putting up with Jones right now. No- the truth is that Roy Moore barely lost. I"ll be proud to vote for him if he runs again. Another thing for some of you that claim that he's hiding behind the Bible or that he's somehow really morally bankrupt- I truly believe he's a Christian. I didn't say that he's without fault- neither am I. But there's also the old saying that Christians aren't perfect, just saved. If some of you that post about this man on here are looking for the perfect candidate, guess what-you"ll always be looking & never voting. I believe that will also qualify you as a liberal.
