So I’ve been researching and looking at residential Zero Turns. I cut roughly 2 acres of grass. I’ve read and seen them all but wanted to get some input from ones who own them here. I went with a commercial grade mower but I cut more than 2 acres. Went through the same thing researching them for a few months. I really liked the SCAG & Deere 7 Iron but the dealer was too far to keep me interested. I checked to see who could service me local, and it turned out to be Ferris, Toro, & Exmark. I liked the Toro, and Ferris with suspension system BUT with all that said I ended up going with a Exmark Laser Z commercial grade, 60" cut, suspension seat, carb Kawasaki couple months ago. I cut almost 5 acres, and have NO regrets. Good luck !

Id recommend upgrading to a exmark radius. It's the lower end of commercial but it would be well worth it. You can get one around $5000 but it will last longer and worth the money. this. exmark

I cut 2 acres & got the higher end E-180 JD lawn tractor 54” cut & its a beast; much better turn radius than my old LA-150 .... for only 2 acres IMO the expense of a zero turn isnt worth it

A zero turn with the same cutting width will cut your mowing time in half.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Only if lots of trees or turns... a square yard prob not..bit I spent 9 hrs today on a 54inch kubota and wished it was a 72inch 4x4 zero turns can't handle wet ground

I need to manage this property on top of my current home until we remodel & move out here which will be a while. Anything to save a few minutes will help.

I’ve been in the lawn maintenance, landscaping business for over 20years. I’ve always used Exmark of Toro for my commercial zero turns. If I were you I would buy a commercial mower with a Kawasaki engine. In my opinion they are the best z engine hands down. I won’t consider buying a Z unless it has a Kawasaki engine. If you do that and your only cutting your own personal property and you do the regular maintenance on it, odds are you will never have to buy another one. Good luck. I have a Hustler Super Duty 48" with the Kawasaki engine that I bought 9 years ago. It has 205 hours on it now and I'm convinced that it is going to outlast me.

This is a new toy I'm playing with this weekend. The Michelin Twheels make a world of difference. Traction is way better than turf tires and the ride is unbelievable, it's like riding a cloud. Do they make mud tire version? do those flex out and gain more traction?
