I've had just about every project car that you can think of from a 1966 Mustang Fastback to a 1967 Chevrolet Stepside to a 1989 BMW 318is to a turbocharged 1991 Miata. For some reason I have a soft spot for Jeep Cherokee Classics, Jeep Wranglers, BMW E30's, and of course Miatas because it is a car that is perhaps the most pure driving experience in an automobile that you will ever have.

We are about to take this one on a 10 day old fashioned road trip up through the Appalachians and back down with no particular agenda but to have fun, drive some great roads, eat some good food and explore places that we have never been. I haven't had to do much to this one other than give her some new tires and wheels and install a new fuel sending unit. She only has 77k miles on her and drives like new... I'll end up pulling the engine when I have everything ready and swap in an LS motor using either the V* Roadsters kit or the Flyin' Miata kit, and turn her into a Porsche/Corvette killer. She's already plenty fast in the twisties, but she lacks grunt.

This is the one that I sold to Toothdoc. It's got quite a few engine and performance mods on it and is built to look like a vintage British sports car.

I have a 1993 BMW E36 in the garage that needs love and a 1986 K5 Blazer that also could use some TLC.
My daily driver is about as boring as boring gets.

I'm getting the itch for a Jeep again....I got dad into them about 9 yrs ago and helped him buy one, probably the cleanest TJ you'll ever find. Trying to get him to sell it to me now since he barely drives it. It's a 99 Sahara with only 110k miles and is bone stock. If I can get my hands on it, it'll get a 2.5" spring lift, a 1" body and motor mount lift, tummy tuck with a slip yoke eliminator kit and CV driveshaft, bumpers, rocker panel sliders, winch and 33's. For now, though, I'll just keep day dreaming about it...

I wish this site had a photo upload capability. I'll just say I brought back an 88 VW Scirocco from near death around 2003 and made it a daily driver for several years.

Sharp! I’d just put 4”s and 33s and not worry about the body or motor BS. You gonna run Falkens? grin

The body lift and motor mount lift specifically allow for the "tummy tuck", where you raise the transmission and transfer case up completely between the frame rails, allowing for a flush skid plate. Gives you significantly more ground clearance in the middle of the jeep. In a perfect world, you want the least amount of lift necessary to fit whatever tires you want to run and still have room to flex. Keeping the center of gravity as low as possible makes a better trail rig.

And no probably won't run falkens. Thinking the Goodyear MTR Kevlars, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I’ve got way to many projects in various stages and just started a bagger I’ll probably never even ride. The funny thing is my wife thinks they’re all for sale. I think that’s why I’m doing the bagger, if she makes me sell one it’s first on the chopping block.

I’m really close to finishing my Peterbilt/Dodge truck, Started the bagger
Got a 72 Monte Carlo pro street LSX in the works, a 67 Chevy 4x4 on a 02 Tahoe chassis that the body is almost fitted on, a 29 ford cabriolet street rod, 77 CJ Levi Golden Eagle and a 79 A model KW wrecker that close enough to finished that we actually use it daily

Thank the good lord it’s not a big back window fleet side SWB!! No doubt LS is the way to go nowadays. I wanted to put a amc 304 or 360 in my jeep but it’s way to high. I’m goin SBC and a turbo 350 mounted to my Dana 300.

I can’t post pics on here at all, it’s not very photogenic right now anyway. It’s about ready for a sandblaster I dont move to quick on mine, I just get stuff done on them when I’d be paying folks to do nothing if they weren’t there
