We were riding around the farm this afternoon late and was traveling on a road between a big field and a drain ditch. As we rounded a curve a group of hags busted out the grass on the field edge. I saw the small ones first and picked one off right away. That's when the 2 big hogs came out and I dropped both of them and then started working on the small ones again. I ended up killing the 2 big sows and 3 maybe 4 of the small ones. 3 of the small ones for sure got away. The field had bad combine ruts and I wasn't going in them to try to get the other hogs out. We loaded these up in the pioneer and brought them to some people who could really use the meat. [Linked Image]

This is the first group of hogs I've ever seen on the farm that had some color other than black. One of the small ones that got away was white with spots and another was black and white. The 3rd was black like all the others I've killed.

There’s a lot of different color phases on my place but I haven’t ever seen one quite like that.

Haha. You could post this on every hog thread and it would still be funny.
