Heck my mom just had both done a couple months apart and they literally have tou up walking the same day as surgery and even do it as outpatient surgery in some cities now. Back 25 years ago when my dad had both replaced he was in the hospital for a week then in bed at home for several more weeks. Medicine has come a long ways
