He will put up some decent numbers but won't be near the heisman. His accuracy is a 7 out of 10. He might get a heisman look because of the yards he can put on the ground but that will be about it. I do wish him the best though and think he should strongly look at another position when it comes to the NFL.

Between Jalen at OU and Les Miles at Kansas I’ll definitely be tuned in to some Big 12 this season.

Humble pie was eaten by me. I gave Tua my praise and he did really well last year. One of my favorite things about Jalen was his toughness. I got sick of watching Tua go in the tent, hopefully he is a little tougher and better prepared this year. Now it's time to see if Jalen can be a quarterback or if he should change positions.

As for all the talk about the bad defense he will face is interesting. Seems like his team has put up a bunch of points the last few times they have faced the SECs best defenses.

I wish him well. He’s a classy guy and handled last year like a champ. Would be great to see them in a big game with Bama and win. Boy if that happened the sports forum here would be on fire. Just sayin...

I wish him the best but I don’t think he will get it done. Unless the coaching staff at OU can teach him to make the correct reads, complete the long ball, and beat teams with his arm we will see the same Jalen we’ve been watching.

I didn’t get to see the Sooners’ spring game tonight but the Dallas Morning News said Hurts was “better than advertised.”
This was their synopsis:
“New Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts was excellent in his debut on Owen Field. Hurts completed 11 of 14 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for a score. Beyond the statsheet, Hurts was accurate and looked comfortable both in and outside of the pocket.”
I expect he will be the man for OK this fall unless Lincoln Riley recruits a Hawaiian.

I think Hurts has improved a lot, we just couldn't see how much do to limited play.
Guess we will find out for sure when the season rolls around

Seems like alabama quarterbacks get better when they dont play and worse when they do play

11 of 14 for a176 yards..... that’s not going to win a Big12 shoot out. He will need to be 30+of 50 and 400+ yards

...and then runs out of bounds when first read is covered. That was his problem keeping him from being elite. The defenses won't be as good in the big12, so maybe he'll adjust.

I think Jalen does "ok" at OU......................but basing any predictions, good or bad, on a spring game performance is just asinine.

Rating the derriere of a college football player like that will get you rough talked around here.

I thought Jalen's passing game improved significantly sitting behind Tua. His passing last season looked much more productive than his first two seasons.

I watched a good bit of their spring game. He's still got the same pattern: drop back, scramble to the right, then decide to throw or run (mainly run)
