I have a friend that lets me trespass on his place once or twice a year and I look forward to it more than any other hunt in Alabama. I’ve never been on this mountain and not got on a gobbling turkey so fingers crossed that my streak continues today and I at least get to sit down to one.

Uokman2014 6 point U Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 1,179 Your blindspot	Finally got the "ice" broke this morning! Was a quick hunt in TN. Got on a roosted bird right at first crack-of-light. He was gobbling his head off and I set up about 80 yards from him. At fly-down he pitched in and hit the ground about 25 paces away. Caught a load of 6's in the face. 11.5" beard, 1 3/8 spurs. Normally would prefer to get a "show" from the bird before dropping the hammer, BUT this year has been tough for me for some reason... so, I took was was given and am thankful!
