My wife finished the Boston Marathon today. She ran a great race.

I was set up at the last turn and witnessed a dozen or more athletes go down to cramps or exhaustion. Some were stretchered off and not allowed to finish.

I saw a couple of army men and women run the entire 26.2 in full fatigues. Impressive.

The handicapped runners and wheel chaired folks had my respect too. The ones pushing a disabled person was heartwarming.

Everything else about Boston sucks. I’m sure it was a beautiful place before Man screwed it up, there isn’t a sprig of grass or a non hand planted tree up here. I now see why these people are so big on ‘green’ and sustainability. They have shucks their own bed.

Druggies, homeless, and straight up weird mentally sick people are everywhere. English doesn’t appear to be the first language to most. I didn’t see the first MAGA hat.

Proud of my wife and Glad to be headed home tomorrow.

I wouldn't want to drive 26 miles in Boston, much less run it. Congratulations to her.

Congrats to your wife, that’s very impressive! The one time I visited Boston the people seemed to be nice and I had a good time.

Congrats to your old lady reb. That is fantastic. I know that if she is running in Boston, she's got some experience in the long distance game.

I haven't been in boston in probably 6 or 7 years, but of all the big cities, that's one I could probably live in? Maybe? Way better than Philly, NY, Chicago, DC, LA and San Fran.

As a runner, I congratulate her, that's something I could never do and I run almost every day. I lived just outside Boston for almost a year. It's kind of like DC (lived there 3 years), you have to look past some of the current mess to see the history. Boston has probably as much history as any city in the US. Now the winter SUCK and the people mostly suck but there are a lot of cool things to do and the food is outstanding. If you are still there, go to Faneuil Hall Market Place and walk (she might not be up for it) the Freedom Trail or parts of it. All in all, to me it's a great place to visit and a shitty place to live.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Congrats to your wife. Me and a buddy went to visit a friend who had moved up there to live close to her dad. Her friends have never heard of " drunk as cooter brown" so we showed them. That was 30 yrs ago
