I was rear-ended in a car wreck January of 2018. I still see the chiropractor for my lower back. I thought I was about over my injury but sitting on a cushion at the base of a tree absolutely kills my back. I’ve got to find something light and portable that gets me up off the ground. I’ve got one of the short little turkey stools. Going to take it next time. But I really need something about 18-20 inches tall. Anyone else dealing with this?

That’s great! I may carry my chair for long sits but don’t want to tote it moving. I want a turkey stool with 18 inch legs.

AC have you tried one of the gobbler lounger chairs? It's a little bulky to carry around but for long sits it's definitely worth the effort.

I have a hammock seat, a turkey lounger, a doughnut cushion, a summit stump, a millennium 100, a kickstand vest, and two homemade loungers from beach chairs. The hammock is light and comfortable, but won’t sit low enough sometimes and requires a tree. The millennium and stump are comfortable but are bulkier and heavier and require a tree. The kickstand vest doesn’t have enough cushion, but I add a blow up and it’s pretty good.....not tree required. My beach chairs work great, but are bulky. The gobbler lounger is some added weight and awkwardness, but you can sit all day without a tree, and it’s not as bulky as the other chairs. Nothing is perfect. Most stay in the truck for whatever I think I’ll be doing on that hunt or property....well, not the stump or millennium. They’re too much trouble and slower to use. JME. Broken tail bone and dislocated vertebrae make me kinda picky about parking for a while.

They are comfortable but it's another 15# to carry. I've spent the last 20 years searching for a lightweight comfortable way to sit on the ground. Finally decided that my best option is to travel light and just be uncomfortable. I usually cover too much ground to be incumbered with a lot of gadgets. I would rather go light and be able to move quick.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
