Perhaps they played the game past Little League level under a good high school coach that taught strategies and the other finer points of the game so they understand the intricacies involved more than just pitch it, hit it, and catch it. I concede that if you know nothing about the finer points, the pace of the game can make it slow and boring.

So, because someone doesn’t know chit about baseball, it makes those that actually do know a little about the game “professional scouts”? That makes perfect sense. It’s pretty easy to see why the game is so hard for you to understand.

I fall into this category. I played for a great high school coach and learned a ton about the finer points and strategies of the game. I guess I don’t have a life cause I usually try to watch a few innings every night. I can also say I didn’t watch a single minute of college basketball the whole season. Some people just like different sports. That’s ok everywhere but aldeer apparently

Back in the good ole days me and my dad would watch the Braves just about every night on TBS and eat a big ole piece of watermelon, or a bucket of popcorn. He would talk about how slow Sid Bream was or how Ron Gant was a sucker for the high fastball and David Justice had a smooth swing but struck out to much. He always said Andrew Jones was fat until he saw him in person. Miss spending time with the old man a lot more than I miss the Braves but those two things seemed to go hand in hand.
