I can honestly say I've never eaten captain ds in my life. I dont plan on that changing either Same here. Too much good seafood to eat that crap. I ate at a Captain d's once in my life. That was enough. Ate about one third of my plate and had to stop. I would honestly just as soon heat up some frozen fish sticks in the microwave. The fish sticks would be waaaaay higher quality fish. Not sure what kind of fish they serve at Captain d's but my guess would be some type of shad. Don't bitch about how greasy it is either. The grease was the only decent thing on my plate.

I like it occasionally hot out of the grease, takeout not so much. That being said it's been at least a couple years since I had it.

I haven't eaten at one in years, but i love their fish batter had a buddy in college that only ordered what he called crumbles...all the bits of batter left in the frier basket My buddy used to call them "Floor sweepins" and when he ordered he would always order extra "floor sweepins." I honestly have a thing for for fish and chips. Add a little coleslaw and it's pretty damn good. I love the Malt Vinegar on the fish battered like that. Maybe it's the Irish in me. There's an Irish pub in Cartersville, GA. that serves a really good fish and chips and I always order it with a nice dark stout or porter.
